Our BLACK periodontometers with spherical tip are made of stainless medical steel and a deep black diamond-like carbon coating (DLC). This makes the instrument particularly durable. The probe and handle are permanently mounted and cannot be unscrewed.

The WHO1 scale corresponds to the original graduation of our former REF 5010.
The key difference compared to other periodontal probes is the deep-black diamond-like carbon coating, which provides maximum contrast. Unlike laser-etched markings, the DLC scale does not fade and remains permanently easy to read. This makes the instrument exceptionally durable.
