If you want to catch Giacomo, you have to get up early: He's usually the first one to start his workday in the early morning. Even before dawn, he's right on time unlocking the facility and setting out on his first round. His first task: checking the machines that have been running through the night. His workday starts with a strong sense of responsibility and his high standards for quality.
Giacomo joined Hahnenkratt in 2021 in his mid-twenties as a career changer, initially working in small assembly within production. His path in the company quickly took off: Due to personnel shortages, he soon took on responsibilities in vacuum production—first as an employee, later as the head of vacuum technology. Thanks to his hands-on approach and his business expertise (Business Administration - Trade Management), he was able to quickly adapt to his new duties.
In the meantime, Giacomo has taken on a role in production planning—a key position in production coordination. This is where everything comes together: planning, prioritizing, and organizing. He is responsible for coordinating production processes for around 40 to 50 employees. His daily goal is to plan and optimize production workflows as efficiently as possible. As a prospective quality management representative, he also ensures that quality standards are not only defined but consistently maintained. Hahnenkratt actively supports him by providing further training. Supporting dedicated employees is a top priority for the company.
Giacomo feels both professionally and personally well-supported at Hahnenkratt. The support of his colleagues has been, and continues to be, crucial for him. "If you show ambition here, you can achieve a lot, even if you’re coming from outside the industry," he says. He’s especially proud of his latest project: overseeing the entire process of a product’s development, from the prototype all the way to its successful launch at a trade show. "Being able to present my own product live to customers was an amazing moment."
For Giacomo, one thing is clear: switching to a trading company is out of the question. He truly values the family-like atmosphere, flat hierarchies, and the intergenerational teamwork at Hahnenkratt — especially since he believes in the future of both the company and the industry: "Dental technology is crisis-proof and has a secure future, and quality management is only going to become more important. And our quality sets us apart from the competition. That’s what makes us so strong." That’s why Giacomo wants to continue working with his team to bring innovative products to market — proudly made in Germany and held to the highest quality standards.
