The new BLACKline mouth mirrors, handles, probes, and micro mirrors offer superior advantages in all areas of diagnostics. Featuring a DLC – Diamond-like Carbon – coating, they have a high-end finish, and the matte, deep black surface eliminates disturbing reflections.
The new, flexible micro mirrors MICROflex ultra and rhodium can be individually shaped at their flat shank end so that even hard-to-reach tooth or alveolar ridge areas, as well as awkward opposing tooth positions, are no longer an obstacle.
The thin shaft of the MICROflex instruments can be individually bent. However, this should be done using appropriate tools, as the bending radius should be at least 3 mm for material-technical reasons. (© Dr. Firla)

Mirrors with ULTRA coating have over 25% higher reflection compared to rhodium. This means the image is brighter and absolutely color-neutral—in HD quality.
The mirror surface is a so-called "dielectric mirror layer," consisting of tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) and silicon dioxide (SiO2). These are alternately vapor-deposited in a high vacuum. The alternating thicknesses of the individual layers and their high number—about 36 layers—result, in their special combination, in the brilliantly bright ULTRA mirror image with precisely accurate color reproduction.
